About Us

We are a full service gym in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, that specializes in using the science of boxing to promote everyday healthy lifestyle habits. Our private training facility offers not only personal training and group sessions, but also Massage Therapy, Osteopathic Treatment and Aesthetic services.

Our gym is open to all athletes and fitness enthusiasts, from beginner to advanced levels, who are interested in pursuing and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

 

Member FAQ’s About the

SydFIT Health Centre:

Do I need my own boxing equipment to start?

Yes, all members are required to have their own gloves, wraps, skipping rope and reaction ball for each class. You can buy a starter kit here at the Centre for $85+tax.

Do you have drop in classes?

We do not offer 1 time drop in classes.   We do have a 10 visit pass for $150. 

How far in advance can I book my class?

Reservations can be made up to 10 days ahead of the next class. Members can book up to 2 classes per week at this time.

What is the Cancellation Policy for memberships and classes?

All monthly renewing membership have a 30 Day Notice of Cancellation policy.   A member must provide a minimum of 30 days notice to cancel a membership in order to stop the auto payment value from being processed.

With our class reservation system, the Centre has a No Show Fee policy.  Classes can be unreserved up to 60 minutes before a class begins without penalty. Classes that are reserved, but not attended will be charged a $10+tax No Show Fee.

How old do I have to be to sign up for boxing classes?

If you are under the age of 18 you must have a parent or legal guardian assist in signing up at the Centre, and be responsible for membership payments. We offer classes for ages 5, up to 100.

How early can I arrive before my class?

We ask that members arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before their session or class is scheduled to start.  

Do you offer open gym time?

Please note that we are not currently offering open gym time in the Centre, all training must be via a class or booked private session.

How do I book a private session?

Private and semiprivate sessions are booked directly with your trainer. We do not have a self-serve booking system for these types of sessions at this time.

Can I use the shower to change before and after class?

 At this time we have 1 shower available for our members.  We ask that you do not keep your personal belongings in the shower room, but the room can be used to change and shower before or after class.

Do you have a fountain or provide water bottles for purchase?

Please bring your own reusable bottle for water.  We have water refill stations around the Centre.

Can I wear a crop top or sports bra to work out in?

All members should wear running shoes, a shirt or tank that covers the full upper body torso, and shorts that go to mid-thigh.

Do I need to be registered with Boxing Ontario?

All members are required to be registered with Boxing Ontario to participate in    sessions (including the assessment) at the Centre. 

How do I register with Boxing Ontario?

Boxing Ontario has just opened a NEW self-registration and payment form on their website.  Please register and provide your confirmation of registration at your first class. The registration has a flat fee of $25 per calendar year, payable directly to Boxing Ontario you will register under the affiliated club name of DESTINY BOXING.
